From Honiara, visitors to Marovo Lagoon travel by light plane (50-70 minute flight) to Seghe on the south east tip of New Georgia. It is a small airstrip with only a few private houses on the edge.
On arrival at Seghe, you will be transported approximately 6 km across the lagoon in a 22 foot open canoe with outboard engine. – standard transport in the area. Its best to be prepared for the chance of getting a little wet from spray on the way to the island!
By Boat: Passenger vessels depart Honiara 10.00am on Sunday morning and arrive in the Lagoon at Seghe wharf for disembarkation approx 11pm the same night. Matikuri staff come to meet the ship and take guests directly to the Lodge.
